APAN63 Fellowship Program – Call for Applications

Following the success of the APAN62 Fellowship Program, which selected 17 fellows from 13 economies, the APAN63 Fellowship Program is now open for applications. As venue space is limited, only 10 fellows will be selected this time.

The 63rd APAN Meeting will take place from 1–4 March 2027 in Singapore.

Important Dates

• Call for Fellowship opens: 21 October 2026

• Applications close: 12 November 2026

• Member Country Review: 16–27 November 2026

• Fellowship Committee Review: 30 November – 4 December 2026

• Announcement of selection: 7 December 2026

• Confirmation by selected fellows: 14–28 December 2026

Eligibility

• Graduate and undergraduate students, as well as young researchers, are encouraged to apply.

• Applicants presenting at APAN63 will receive priority consideration. Presenting requires a separate submission under the Call for Presentation Proposals; selection for the fellowship does not guarantee acceptance as a presenter (the two processes are managed independently).

Fellowship Coverage

• Registration fee – access to all sessions, workshops and tutorials

• Food – lunch, tea during the conference and two social dinners

• Per-diem allowance – airport-to-venue transport, breakfast and remaining dinners

• Accommodation – twin-sharing during APAN63 (venue notified to successful applicants). If you plan to arrange your own accommodation, notify the APAN Secretariat at least one month in advance. Please do not request a single room or specific roommates, or book independently without notification.

Airfare Requirements

• Airfare is not covered by the fellowship.

• Applicants must provide proof of airfare support (from their institution/organisation or self-funded) at the time of application. Applications without this letter will be rejected immediately.

• Self-funded applicants may be required to submit a confirmed itinerary upon acceptance.

• Please check flight availability and approvals before applying, and allow enough time for visa processing.

Attendance Commitment

• Fellows must be available for the entire week of 1–4 March 2027; attendance on the first day is mandatory.

• Except during official APAN social events, fellows are responsible for their own dinner expenses.

• Applicants with prior no-shows without notice will be automatically rejected under the Blacklisting Policy.
